We're proud to announce that Cradle has formed a new partnership with Google Cloud to provide an unprecedented level of security for our customers' sensitive research and development data. By leveraging Google Cloud's advanced data protection solutions, we've created a secure environment that allows customers to innovate with AI, without compromising the safety of their valuable intellectual property.
As Stef van Grieken, our Founder and CEO, explains, "At Cradle, one of our main responsibilities is to ensure the security and privacy of our customers' data, which often comprises precious intellectual property and is the result of many years of investment in research and development. Our partnership with Google Cloud allows us to focus on advancing our AI algorithms and developing our platform, knowing that we can rely on Google Cloud's mature, time-tested best practices and security services."

Generative AI for Protein Engineering
Cradle's user-friendly, web-based software makes protein engineering faster, cheaper, and more successful. Our Generative AI, trained on a proprietary dataset of billions of sequences, can design novel, high-performing proteins for various industries, including pharmaceuticals, chemicals, food, materials, and agriculture.
Ensuring Data Security and Privacy
Protecting the security and privacy of our customers' data, which often comprises precious intellectual property and years of R&D investment, is one of our main responsibilities. We believe that data security is primarily an engineering issue, and our goal is to design systems and safeguards that natively block a wide range of potential attacks.
A Unique Approach to Security
Our defense-in-depth strategy integrates safeguards at every architectural level, from each Cradler's device to our SaaS platform's web interface. This sets us apart from most companies in our industry, who focus on perimeter security and compliance. While compliance plays a crucial role, and we're adopting SOC2 and ISO27001 standards, we're convinced that it's not enough to guarantee data security.
Noé Lutz highlights how our approach differs: "While most companies in our industry focus on building a wall around their data and reducing risks through compliance, we know that relying solely on perimeter security leaves organizations vulnerable to attacks targeting machines and individuals within the trusted perimeter. Compliance obviously plays a crucial role, and we're adopting SOC 2 and ISO 27001 standards for our SaaS platform, but we're also convinced it's not enough to guarantee the security of our customers' data. The high-tech industry has long moved away from relying on firewalls and compliance stickers, instead making security an integral part of their engineering efforts and building protections throughout their tech stack. Cradle is bringing this level of security to the biotech industry."

Benefiting from Google Cloud's Expertise
Our partnership with Google Cloud is key to our security efforts. Google's industry-leading security solutions, such as Chrome Enterprise Premium and Identity Access Management (IAM), enable us to focus on advancing our AI algorithms and SaaS platform while relying on their mature, time-tested security solutions.
Shweta Maniar, Director, Strategic Industries, Healthcare & Life Sciences, Google Cloud commented, "Security conscious organizations like Cradle are turning to Google Cloud to develop revolutionary solutions that have real-world impact. By leveraging Google Cloud's industry-leading security solutions, Cradle is able to push the boundaries of scientific research with their innovative AI-driven protein design platform, while ensuring the utmost protection of their customers' intellectual property. We are excited to support Cradle in their mission to transform the field of protein engineering.""Cradle is able to push the boundaries of scientific research with their innovative AI-driven protein design platform, while ensuring the utmost protection of their customers' intellectual property."
